How to save the answers from a job application in a candidate's profile automatically

This article will go over how you can save the answers a candidate fills out when they apply for a job automatically in their profile. This is helpful if you want clients to see their answers within the candidate profiles.

For each job you create within the system, you have the option to create a job application form that the candidates have to fill out to apply to that specific position.

In this article, we'll explain how you can set up these job application forms to automatically save the answers the candidates fill out directly in their profiles. This is helpful if you want to save their answers and if you share candidate profiles with clients and want them to see the answers to the job application questions.

Step 1. Create a job application form: https://learn.enginehire.io/en/knowledge/how-to-create-job-specific-application-questions-when-candidates-apply-to-a-placement-job

Step 2. Make sure the questions you added in the job application form you created in Step 1 are also added as fields within a section in a candidate's profile.

For example: If you ask in the job application form, "how many years of experience do you have?" Make sure that this question is also added as a field somewhere in the candidate's profile

Step 3: Open up the job application form you created in step 1

- Under each field, you'll see a related candidate model field.

- Now you can search for the same question from the candidate's profile. If a candidate answers the job application question, the answer will now populate directly into their profile.
