Use Copy Field To Move Information From One Field Model To Another Field Model.

Learn how to easily move data from one field to another with the Copy Field tool.

Applications and Profiles change all the time but you don't want to lose any data in your updates. Some times you'll just want to transfer data from old field to a new field. This is easily achieved with the Copy Field Tool. 

1. From an application or profile identify the name of the field you want to transfer into a new field. 

2. Create a new field to move the information into. You can do this by duplicating a field and changing the model or by selecting Add Field. 

3. Select More and select Global Setting. 

4. Select Client if it is client data or select Candidate if it is candidate data. 

5. Select Import and Copy User Settings. 

6. Select Copy Field and select Submit. 

7. Check the profile to be certain the data was properly moved

8. Remove the old field.
