Resolving Job Category Visibility Issue for Shift Jobs on the Platform
Candidates using the platform have reported that they are unable to see the job category for shift jobs. This article provides a step-by-step solution to address this issue by modifying specific settings and adding properties where necessary.
Issue
The job category does not appear for shift jobs on candidate dashboards or available job sections. Adjustments are required in settings to ensure the job category pulls from the correct fields associated with the job.
Solution Steps
Step 1: Add Job Category in the Booking Section
-
Navigate to the Application and Profile Builder.
-
Go to the Booking Editor within the profile builder settings.
-
Locate the field settings in the Booking Section.
-
Add the following properties to the Select other properties field (Show in Candidate View, Show In Logged-in Candidate view, Show in Assignee View)
-
Save the changes to ensure the fields are now visible and correctly linked.
Step 2: Add Job Category to Candidate's "Available Jobs" Section
-
Navigate to the Candidate Section.
-
Open the Profile of the candidate.
-
Click on the Available Jobs section.
-
Access the Gear Icon ⚙️ next to the On Call Opportunities.
-
Add the Job Category field to ensure it is visible to candidates in the Available Jobs section.
-
Save the changes.
Verification Step
-
Visit the candidate's profile, then check "Confirmed/My Jobs." Navigate to the gear icon on the Job board and add the required fields there. Finally, verify if the fields are visible.
