If the payment fails for a shift job, options to notify the client, notify admins and update the job status
In the case where the payment fails for a shift job, when booking or later on in the process, you have a few options on what actions you want the system to take.
To manage these options, please go to More -> Global Settings
Jobs -> Shift Job Settings -> Payments
And scroll down to the following settings
"If charge fails when booking shift job, do not create booking": This only applies if you are charging at the point of shift job creation, if so, this setting will prevent the shift job from being booked if the payment fails to process
"If charge for shift job fails, update job status to": This allows you to auto change the status of a shift job if the payment fails at any point. You will likely want to add a particular shift job status to use for this like "Payment Failed" so it will stand out and you can act on it.
"Send email notification to admins if charge for shift job fails": This will send a notification email to admins if a shift job payment fails.
If you would like to notify the client if the payment for their shift job fails, you can use a special email template trigger for that as follows:
