How to see how much was spent on SMS cost
You can find the SMS charges in the SMS logs
To see how much you have spent on SMS in a given time period, you can find this in the SMS logs:
You can set the date filters and see total message segments you have sent (1 segment is $0.0145, so longer messages cost more), and the total cost.
How SMS charges work:
-
Every SMS has a cost, even if it contains only 1 character.
-
SMS are charged per segment.
-
1 segment = up to 160 characters (standard text).
-
If your message includes special characters or emojis, the limit per segment is reduced to 70 characters.
-
-
If your message is longer than 1 segment, it will be split into multiple segments, and each segment will be charged.
-
When sending to multiple recipients, each recipient’s message is charged separately.
Cost per segment:
-
$0.0145 per segment.
Example:
-
Sending “Hello” to 10 recipients = 10 segments x $0.0145 = $0.145.
-
Sending a 200-character message (2 segments) to 3 recipients = 6 segments x $0.0145 = $0.087.
Please note that this is only accurate as of September 2024 and forward.
