Difference between categories and types!
These can seem quite similar, but they are not! So let's explain the difference so you can set up your system correctly!
Types: types of clients, candidates.
Categories: These are types of shift jobs
You can have the same wording for types and categories but they operate in different ways!
It is easy to get them confused so here are some examples:
Types of clients
- member
- non member
*if you set up your fees as such!
Another example of types of clients
- babysitting client
- nannying client
Example for types of candidates:
- pet sitter
- babysitter
Categories refer to shift jobs!
To add shift job categories: https://learn.enginehire.io/en/knowledge/adding-a-new-booking-job-category
Adding a job category allows you to add multiple service options for clients when they go to their booking calendar. They can select which service the booking is for.
NOTE: Make sure if you have the booking calendar on your profile also to update it there and also in the profile. The booking categories added must be the exact wording. When you add pricing to the price manager and want it to be linked to a category, you must have exact wording linked up.
Example for category
- full time
- part time
- live in
- live out
- dental hygienst
