Trigger Notifications When Shift Job Status Changes
Automatically send an email or SMS notification when a shift job changes to a specific status, such as Completed. This helps keep recipients informed when a job reaches the status you use to mark the end of a workflow.
For demonstration purposes, this article uses an email template, but you can also create an SMS template using the same Status Change Notification trigger.
Let’s get started 🚀
Step 1: Log in to your agent dashboard and click More > Email Templates, as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 2: Click the Add Template button.
Step 3: Enter a name for the template.
Step 4: Add Internal Notes for your template if you want to.
To learn more about the internal notes in the email template, refer to the Add Internal Notes to Email Templates article.

Step 5: Select the Job option from the dropdown list in the Type field.
Step 6: Select Status Change Notification option from the drop down list as the Trigger.
Step 7: Select the status to which you want the shift job to automatically change from the Status dropdown list.

Step 8: Click the Content button to jump to the email template subject and body.
Step 9: Enter the Subject and Body of the email template. You can also use tags in the email body to dynamically insert information into your email, eliminating the need to type it manually each time.
To learn more about how to use tags, refer to the Email Template Tags article.
You can also use the AI option in the email template body to refine and improve your email content. For more information, refer to the Improve Email Content Using AI article.

Step 10: Click the Create button to proceed. The email template will be created successfully and will automatically trigger when a shift job changes to the selected status.

If you want to automatically update the shift job status at its end time, refer to the Automatically Update Shift Job Status and Process Payments article to learn more about the setting and how to configure it.
