Set Up AI SMS Workflow Agent

Set up the AI SMS Workflow Agent to automatically send AI-powered text messages when a candidate or client reaches a specific status. Configure message instructions, AI conversation behavior, notification settings, and workflow triggers to automate SMS communication throughout your workflow.

For demonstration purposes, this article uses Candidates as an example. However, you can follow the same steps to create and use AI SMS workflow templates for Clients as well.

Create AI SMS Template

Create an AI SMS template to automatically send AI-powered text messages when a candidate reaches a specific status.

Step 1: Log in to your agent dashboard and click More > AI SMS Templates as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 2: Click the Add Template button.

Step 3: Enter a name for your template.

Step 4: Select the user type in the Type field.

Step 5: Select Status Change Notification from the dropdown list in the Trigger field.

Step 6: Select the status for which you want to create the AI SMS template.

Step 7: Select the retry schedule option(s) to determine when the AI should resend the message if the user does not respond.

Step 8: Enter the email address that should receive a notification when the user completes the SMS conversation.

Step 9: Enter the First message when AI sends SMS to user,  the System Prompt for the AI SMS Assistant, and the End SMS Message.

Unlike traditional automated text messages, the AI SMS Agent can engage in intelligent text-based conversations. When a user replies, the AI can continue the conversation and respond while staying focused on the configured topic.

Step 10: Click the Create button to proceed.

The AI SMS template will be created successfully.

Create AI SMS Template in Process Flow

Create AI SMS templates directly from a process flow status to automate SMS communication at specific workflow stages.

Step 1: On your agent dashboard, click the View Process Flow button under Candidates.

Step 2: Click the "+" button next to the AI SMS Templates option in the status for which you want to create a template.

Step 3: Check the Create a New AI SMS Template checkbox.

Step 4: Click the Continue button.

Step 5: Configure the required options, then click the Continue button.

Step 6: Enter the remaining AI SMS template details, then click the Create button.
