[Jobs](https://learn.enginehire.io/en/knowledge/jobs?hsLang=en) # Set a Time Limit for Automatic Shift Job Assignment ## Automatically assigning candidates to shift jobs can save time, but it may not be suitable for jobs that begin shortly after they are created. This feature allows you to prevent automatic assignment for shift jobs that start within a specified number of hours, giving your team more control over filling urgent or last-minute bookings while continuing to use automatic assignment for jobs with sufficient notice.
