How to connect Enginehire with Scout

This guide will show you the steps you need to take to be able to request reference checks via Scout

If you do not already ready have a scout account:

  • Go to https://www.scoutreference.com/user/agencyregistration and create a new account with Scout.
  • The scout team will set up your account, onces that is done you will need to go into your account and create:
    • classifications ( this is how scout will know which reference form to send to a candidate's reference) there will be a couple of default classifications already set up in your scout account you just need to remove the ones that you do not want and add any new classifications that you need.
    • Create the reference check forms, these forms will be sent to the candidate's references when you trigger a scout reference check
      • You will also need to attach these forms to the relevant classification

 

If you already have a Scout Account:

  • You need to get in contact with Scout and tell them to allow Enginehire to access your scout account


On Enginehire:

  • Once your account with scout has been created, we will enable the scout reference checks on your candidate profiles
  • You can trigger Scout checks from the Experience and References Section by clicking the Run Reference Button, this will open a selector that will allow you to select the classifications for your candidate's reference (this will determine which reference form will be sent to the reference.
