Embed Profile Sections in Email Templates
Embed individual profile sections into email templates using public form links, allowing candidates and clients to update specific information directly from an email without logging in to their online profile dashboard. This helps streamline data collection while providing each recipient with a personalized form linked to their own profile.
For demonstration purposes, this article uses the Candidate Profile as an example. However, the steps are the same for Client Profiles.
Let’s get started 🚀
Configure a Profile Section for Public Access
Enable a public form link for a regular profile section so it can be shared outside the platform. Once enabled, each candidate receives a unique link to update only that section of their own profile.
Step 1: Log in to your agent dashboard and click More > Application & Profile Builder as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 2: Select the Profile option from the dropdown list in the Filter by type box.
Step 3: Click the pencil icon next to the Candidate Profile builder to open it.
Step 4: Click the arrow button before the section that you want to embed in an email to expand its settings.
You can only do this for regular sections. Preset sections have their own links like this already.

Step 5: Select the Show Public Form Link option from the dropdown list in the Additional Properties field.
Step 6: Click the Save button.
A public form link will be generated for the selected section. Click the link to preview how it will appear to candidates.
Each candidate will have a unique public form link that is connected to their own profile.

The link will look like an individual form just like this example below.
Add the Section Link to an Email Template
Insert the public form link into an email template and replace the profile-specific identifier with the [[hash_id]] tag. This ensures every recipient receives a personalized link that opens their own profile section for editing.
Step 1: On your agent dashboard, click More > Email Templates as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 2: Click on the template in which you want to use the configured section.
Step 3: Click the Content button to jump to the email template content.

Step 4: Paste the generated public form link into the email template, then replace the unique identifier at the end of the URL with the [[hash_id]] tag, as shown in the GIF below.
Step 5: Click the Update button to apply the changes.
The [[hash_id]] tag automatically inserts the unique identifier of the candidate receiving the email. This ensures that each recipient receives a personalized link to update their own profile section.
