[Payments](https://learn.enginehire.io/en/knowledge/payments?hsLang=en) # Can I Send Money to a Candidate Without Creating a Shift Job? ## At the moment, Enginehire does not support sending money to a candidate directly through the platform unless it is associated with a shift job. ### What Are the Available Options? If you need to pay a candidate without linking the payment to a shift job, you have two options: #### 1. **Use Stripe Directly (via Stripe Connect)** While this cannot be done inside Enginehire, you can send money to a connected candidate by logging into your [Stripe Dashboard](https://dashboard.stripe.com/) and using the **Connect** tab to initiate a direct payment to the candidate’s connected Stripe account. You can contact Stripe support directly for more information. #### 2. **Create a Shift Job for Record-Keeping (Recommended)** If you’d prefer to keep a clear record within Enginehire, consider creating a temporary or internal-use shift job, even if the job itself isn’t “real.” You can then follow the usual steps to manually pay the candidate via that job.
