# Auto reject based on answer of a question
## You can auto reject an application based on their response to a question
**Important Note -** the auto-rejection pop-up message must be set within the "*Edit Application Form Settings*" at the top of the Application Form itself and not in the section where the condition questions are held.
**Step 1**: On your agent dashboard, click **More** \> **Application & Profile Builder** as shown in the screenshot below.
**Step 2**: Search for the candidate application and click the **gear** icon under the **Actions** column next to the candidate application builder.
**Step 3**: Click the **Instructions & Messaging** tab from the available tabs.
**Step 4**: Scroll down to the **Rejection Message** and enter what you would like to appear in the pop-up here.
**Step 5**: Click the **Save** button.
