Add an Acceptable Care Age Groups Field
Add an Acceptable Care Age Groups field to candidate profiles so candidates can select the age ranges of children they are willing to work with. These selections are used when matching candidates with shift jobs for automatic assignment and broadcast, helping ensure candidates are matched only with jobs that meet their selected age preferences.
Add the Acceptable Care Age Groups Field
Follow these steps to add the field to the Candidate profile.Step 1: Log in to your agent dashboard and click More > Application & Profile Builder, as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 2: Search the section where you want to add the field, then click the pencil icon under the Actions column next to that section.

Step 3: Click the Add Field button.

Step 4: Enter the Field Label and Profile Label for the field.

Step 5: In the Field Type dropdown, select List Multiselect Textbox.

Step 6: In the List Options field, enter the age ranges you want to display for the field.
This field accepts numeric values only. For year ranges, enter values such as 1-2. For month ranges, use decimal values. For example, enter 0-0.5 to represent 0–6 months.

Step 7: In the Model field, select acceptable_care_age_groups.
Step 8: Configure the remaining field options as shown in the screenshot below, then click Save to confirm your changes.
The newly added Acceptable Care Age Groups field will appear in the Candidate profile, where candidates can select the age ranges they are willing to work with.
How Acceptable Care Age Groups Work
The selected age groups are used when matching candidates with shift jobs through Auto Assignment and Auto Broadcast.
If a candidate has acceptable care age groups selected, the candidate will only qualify for a shift job when all children listed for the shift job fall within the candidate's selected age groups.
For example, if a candidate selects an age range that includes children aged 3–5, a shift job with children aged 3 and 4 can qualify for the candidate. However, a shift job with children aged 3 and 7 will not qualify because the 7-year-old falls outside the candidate's selected age range.
Auto Assignment
To apply this matching rule to automatic assignment, perform the following steps:
Step 1: On your agent dashboard, click More > Global Settings as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 2: Click the Jobs tab from the available tabs.

Step 3: Click the Shift Job Auto Assignment option to expand and view its details.
Step 4: Enable the Automatically assign an available candidate when the client books a shift job checkbox.
Step 5: Scroll down a bit and then enable the If a candidate has acceptable care age groups selected, only auto assign a shift job to a candidate if all of the children listed for a shift job are included in the selected age groups checkbox.

The settings will be saved automatically.

Step 4: Scroll down a bit and then enable the If a candidate has acceptable care age groups selected, only auto broadcast a shift job to a candidate if all of the children listed for a shift job are included in the selected age groups checkbox.
